Help us raise funds for the UK's charities. Be creative! Be wild! Be wacky! Can we raise £100?

We hope you enjoyed seeing the videos of our team challenge #1 "Pass The Ball". We look forward to seeing if our Firsts and Seconds have accepted the challenge and can beat the U10s who are currently in the lead.

In the meantime, we are very excited to announce our next challenge which is for the whole club. At Kelso Hockey Club we want to do our bit to help out many of the struggling charities in the country who rely on major sporting events to raise much needed funds for their very important work, such as the London Marathon which would have been held this weekend, Sunday 26th April 2020.

CAN WE RAISE £100 AS A CLUB??

The 2.6 challenge is for EVERYONE, U8s up to seniors players, coaches, umpires, parents, family members. Parents, we want to see you joining in! All you need to do is dream up an activity based around the number 2.6 or 26 that suits your skills or interests and complete it this Sunday 26th April (or during the week after). This can be on your own or within a group (being mindful of social distancing rules, of course). Send us a video of you doing the challenge or tell us what you have been up to.

Please donate a few pennies if you can via the KELSO HOCKEY CLUB website and we will send the lump sum donation to the charity once everyone has completed the challenge. We have opted to donate to the central Save the Charities fund which will distribute funds evenly across a wide number of UK charities. Any donation from our club members and wider community, no matter how big or small, would be gratefully accepted. Show your friends, grandparents and other family members what you have been up to and ask them to make a donation on our website too.

Some ideas of activities are: running/walking 2.6 miles, 26 indian dribble with hockey stick and ball, 26 aerial dribbles with hockey ball, 26 press ups, 26 squats, although it does not have to be hockey or fitness related. There will be a small prize for the most original idea in the club so get your thinking caps on and see who can come up with the most creative idea!

Videos and donations should be sent to us on Messenger by Monday 4th May at 5pm.
