The weather was perfect today for playing hockey, apart from the strong wind which we managed to use to our advantage by setting up quickly so we could attack down wind. The players looked happy and determined to win. Thankfully that eagerness paid off.

Kelso Kings won both their matches 4-1 & 9-0. The first game was against a strong opposition who were awful at stick tackling our players. In the second game players were able to try out positions they wouldn’t normally feel comfortable in and adapted to them well.

The Kelso Cougars Won both their games 9-2 and 5-0 they are maturing as a team every time they play in Edinburgh. Their game awareness and positional play was excellent today.

The Kelso Comets lost 3-4 and won 3-1. They played against teams’ that were well matched. They had some good attacking play. We will work on using the space around us.

We are really impressed with the commitment and progress the boys and girls are making against these Edinburgh teams.
