The U16s hockey season for 2025/26 is officially over! On a warm, sunny evening at Lower Poynder in Kelso on Wednesday 24th June we celebrated the season with some fun games courtesy of G10 Sports and handed out a number of awards to players.

To bring the curtain down on hockey for the year we organised the final training session to be at the rugby club with bubble football the main highlight. 26 players took turns to attempt to play football whilst sporting huge inflatables on their shoulders, and it was as much fun (to watch) for the spectators as it was for the players!

After having a roly-poly race, playing bulldog and last person standing - all sporting inflatables - we settled down at the end of the evening to give out a number of awards to the group...

We always say goodbye to a host of players who move out of the U16 age group and into full Senior hockey, so a massive thank you for your efforts this year and we wish the following all well for next season ... for the U16 Girls: Martha A; Josie A; Olivia B; Abi B; Lucy E; Rachel E; Grace G; Ella G; Melissa P; Cerys P; and Zoe W; ... and for the U16 Boys our captain Jamie W.
