Rachel Elliot and Evie Leonard, along with Kay Sinton were part of the victorious Lightning Squad at the Brave Cup and they are pictured with the trophy following an exciting 4-3 win in the final against Dundee Devils at the Glasgow National Hockey Centre. Having drawn 2-2 the day before against Devils, it was always going to be a close game and so it proved, but in the final Lightning had the edge. Both teams had defeated Thunder 5-3 and 1-0 respectively

They were the only Lightning team to win with the Aspiring Boys losing out to Thunder 1-4, the Aspiring Girls losing to Devils in a shoot-out and the Emerging Boys losing to Thunder 2-5 in their respective finals.
