Kelso's first game back after the Christmas break saw them face local rivals Fjordhus Reivers.
The home side started off slowly but with some good passing made a break for goal. The ball was passed to Pippa Trotter on the wing who crossed to Imogen Johnstone-Jones who then scored with a solid strike. Kelso’s mistimed tackle led to Reivers scoring from a penalty corner in the second quarter and the visitors continued to put pressure on the home side with some great passing to one another. A long ball into the D resulted in their second goal from a deflection and took the half-time score to 2-1 to the away side.
Reivers were quickly into their stride at the beginning of the second half and following some slick passing scored again to lead 3-1. Kelso kept their heads up, however and came back fighting and with some great passing of their own, Lucy Murray made the break and raced up the pitch dodging the opposition to score a brilliant goal. This gave Kelso the confidence to keep pressing and Erin White got on the end of a cross from the right to level the score at 3-3.
The last quarter was extremely competitive with both sides striving for the winner, but neither could break the deadlock and the result remained a draw. This was a great start to the second half of the season and a fair result after a tough game.
