In a re-arranged fixture, Watsonians made the trip down to Kelso and were quick to hit their stride and put pressure on the home defence.  Georgina made several excellent saves, however and gradually Kelso began to get more into the game themselves and began the second quarter more confidently.  Some strong attacking play led to a goal from Rachel Elliot and so it was Kelso who went into half time ahead of the visitors. 

Playing a captain’s role, leading by example and urging her team on, it was Robyn Ford who got on the end of a cross from the right and put the ball into the back of the net to increase Kelso’s lead.  In the final quarter Watsonians threw everything at the Kelso defence and although rewarded with a goal, were unable to get the equaliser due to some outstanding defending from the two Zoes, Beth and Abi who battled hard to deny them the space and time they wanted.

A great team effort from all to give the team their first win of the season.
